October will be bursting with flavor and festivity as we celebrate a lineup of delicious national food holidays. We’ll kick things off with the rich umami of National Mushroom Day. Sweet tooths will rejoice on Pumpkin Cheesecake Day, Boston Cream Pie Day, and Caramel Apple Day, each bringing a seasonal twist to our menus. Our second Farm to Table Dinner will highlight locally sourced ingredients in a thoughtfully curated meal that connects our community to the region’s harvest.
Weekly Chef Takeovers will continue to spotlight local produce and culinary creativity, while our monthly Coolfood Takeovers will promote climate-friendly dining choices. A refreshing Smoothie Event will offer nutrient-packed blends to energize your day that is in partnership with Nicole our registered dietitian and Bridge to Wellness, and a special tasting of Seaweedish Meatballs from North Coast Seafoods will introduce a savory twist to a classic. We will also be featuring our first chef’s showdown of the year when our chefs go head-to-head to find out who makes the best vegetarian taco.
